One-owner 2013 MINI Cooper John Cooper Works GP Edition. Considered the Holy Grail by many enthusiasts, the John Cooper Works GP edition is the fastest and most powerful road-going car ever produced by MINI. It is a high-performance variant of the JCW Cooper hatchbacks that is powered by a turbocharged 1.6L engine and features a host of performance equipment. This example has had just one owner since new, has never been tracked and has been absolutely pampered since being sold new for $39,950 here in the Seattle area. MINI produced just 2,000 of these GP Editions and a only 500 of those were slated for the U.S. -- this example is #0390 of 500.GP Editions were available with just one trim level and are were all finished in exclusive Thunder Grey and are powered by a turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder engine that develops 211hp through a 6-speed manual transmission. Standard performance features include performance engine management, cross-braced front suspension, rear sway bar, adjustable Bilstein dampers, 6-piston performance Brembo front brakes, GP Mode traction control, JCW exhaust and GP Edition bodywork with a rear diffuser and carbon fiber rear spoiler. Numerous weight saving techniques have been employed to boost the GP Edition's power-to-weight ratio including deleting the rear seats (and adding a rear strut brace in the process), sound deadening has been removed, rear speakers removed and the utilization of lightweight, bespoke GP edition wheels with high-performance Pilot Super Sports rubber.Comfort has not been completely tossed out, however, with heated Recaro sport seats, Bluetooth telephone connectivity, iPod integration, auto climate control and satellite radio. Xenon head lamps, white turn signals, red exterior accents, carbon black dash and red interior stitching & accents are standard.Included with this GP Edition is the original window sticker, owner's books, two remote keys, service records back to new and a CarFax history report.
