1949 MGTC ROADSTER # 9325. (Stock #3580.) Just in from its long-term owner in Easthampton, Long Island, this is a very pretty numbers-matching TC finished in red with matching tan interior and top. These great little cars started production in 1945, just following WW II and were built through November, 1949. This is a late production car, being #9325 of the 10,001 TC"s which left the works in Abington. With its tall 19' “knock-off' wire wheels, fold-down windscreen, rear-mounted spare wire wheel, “suicide doors' and classic British pre-war design, this is a great-looking, great-driving example of “the car which introduced sports cars to America.' Performance is less than astounding from the car"s 1250 cc, 4-cylinder engine, but with its 4-speed manual transmission, the car is certainly fun to drive. 34,022 miles. $35,900. Price: $35,900
