1960 BMW Isetta 600 You could call the BMW Isetta 600, the big brother of the BMW Isetta 300. The I-300 is extremely rare. This I-600 is rarer. This I-600 is the 2 door version of the I-300. Production started in 1957 and ended in November of 1959 with the 1960 model year. During that time, only 35000 were produced with a very limited few from the 1960 model year like this one. It has the same front door entrance but has a rear seat and one more door on the passenger side. There is no door on the drivers side. These outstanding and highly collectible micro cars have a huge following. This I-600 has been completely taken apart and beautifully restored roughly 6 years ago. It has been very well maintained in heated storage since. Today, it still looks beautiful in every respect. The 582cc engine tops out at 64mph and has 19.5hp. The 4speed syncromesh transmission shifts beautifully. This reliable little engine "that could" starts EVERY time with a turn of the key and runs PERFECTLY. Brakes are great, all gauges work and she is ready to roll. We have driven this car locally and its performance is impressive! Driving is an incredible experience. The "thumbs up" factor is amazing.
