Offered for sale is a complete numbers matching 1964 Jaguar Mark 2 3.8 in White with original Blue interior. This extremely original example has had little work done since the car left the factory. This specific configuration was the “ holy grail “ of Mk. 2"s, featuring the highly sought-after left hand drive, 3.8 liter engine, four-speed Moss gearbox, overdrive and wire wheels. If you are a collector, this is the one you want. The rare optional Reuters reclining seats put it over the top. With only two owners since 1969, this car has only a little over 50,000 miles on the clock. There is virtully no wear on the door panels, wood, steering wheel, pedals, or sill plates. The chrome is in incredible condition. Virtually every bit of chrome on the car is original - just as it left the factory—and all in fantastic condition. The car had some touchup work done to its lower half, but there are no signs of any past rust exposure. The passenger side front jack point was replaced with a factory-correct part, but no other welding has been done on the car since it left the factory inCoventry! The former owner of this vehicle made an effort to personally restore the car, with his primary focus being to maintain its wonderful originality. Every effort was made to leave original components in place unless they absolutely required replacement. Such items which were replaced include the carpeting, center console trim, headliner, three pieces of exterior chrome, wire wheels, tires and exhaust; all factory-correct equipment. The engine is exceptionally strong with excellent compression numbers on all cylinders. All mechanical components were recently rebuilt and refurbished. The car was put on a rotisserie in order to properly weld the jack point and also to remove the engine, driveline, and complete front and rear suspension so these components could be refurbished appropriately away from the car. This also allowed for careful detailing of the undercarriage. It performs as a Jaguar should: tight and quiet, with excellent acceleration, reaching speeds above 80 MPH with little effort. This is a car that was made to drive beautifully, and having spent its entire life under attentive stewardship, it still does to this day.
