In May 2014, the Chevrolet Corvette will set the pace for the Indianapolis 500 for the 12th time since 1978. No other car has enjoyed this honor as many times. To recognize their participation, Chevrolet made available to the public a limited number of replica pace cars each participating year. In 2008, Chevrolet also recognized the 30th anniversary of the Corvettes participation as a pace car with a commemorative edition. This makes the 2008 Pace Car a very special car. This beautiful example bears the authentic autograph of Emerson Fittipaldi, and is #311 of only 500 units produced.
