Though the GTO debuted in 1964 it was the 65 model like this one you see here that set the automotive world ablaze. This rotisserie restored convertible is PHS Documented as an authentic true GTO. The restoration was done to a very high standard. Everything you see lines up with the PHS report except that the tri-power set up on the 389 V-8 was dealer installed and the 3 speed was retired in favor of a 4-speed synchromesh unit. The Rally 1 wheels and redline radials were added during the restoration. The Teal Turquoise color (code L) and the beautiful matching turquoise (code 214-36) interior is correct. Of course being a frame off job the chassis shows well with clean smooth pans, new gas tank, new exhaust, and nice hardware. Other options include a Safe-T-Track limited slip differential with 3.23:1 gears, power steering, power brakes, padded dash, tachometer, console, outside mirror, back up lights, 2 speed windshield wipers, sport steering wheel, and power operated top. This is a fantastic car that runs and drives as good as it looks. A GTO has a proven track record as a valuable collectible, especially a stacked head light convertible.
