HERE LISTED BELOW IS INFORMATION FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNERAfter a 4 year restoration process it is time to move on to a new project so I have decided to sell my 1969 BBG (big bad green) AMC Javelin. This car is a very rare one of only 876 original BBG 1969 Javelin SSTs. Even fewer are equipped with the ModPac option package and fewer still came with GlenGarry on Parchment interior, making the BBG Javelin a very, very rare car overall. The top to bottom restoration was finally completed this past spring and the car has less than 1500 break-in miles since completion resulting in this car being perhaps a once in a lifetime find. The restoration included all new suspension bushings, brakes, a rebuilt engine and tranny plus all new replacement service parts including new front springs and re-curved and rebuilt rear leaf springs resulting in this car running an driving like a brand new car. The rebuilt factory original 343 Typhoon 4bbl high compression engine equipped with the rebuilt Borg Warner M-11 console mounted Shift Command auto transmission was factory rated at 280 HP but has been upgraded with performance parts similar to the AMCs group 19 performance parts including a smooth idle performance camshaft, numbers correct AMC logoes R4B aluminum intake manifold and an Eddelbrock 650 Thunder Series AVS Carburetor produces a conservatively estimated 300+ HP. All new brake, fuel and vacuum steel lines from Fine Lines were installed along with all new brake hardware and brake hydraulics and any original metal even suspect of having any rust potential was replaced with factory AMC metal along with the entire car being stripped and repainted in base clearcoat PPG brilliant Big Bad Green paint. ModPac side decals were provided by Phoenix Graphics and interior materials including new reproduction door panels and seat foam were provided by Legendary Interiors. Seat material was sourced from SMS Auto Fabrics while reupholstery work was provided by local Phoenix craftsman. The wood grain steering wheel was restored by RimBlow Buddies and all interior and exterior trim was painted with SEM factory correct trim paints. The car's restoration was originally started by a local friend and AMC aficionado who was also the former American Motors Owners Association (AMO) Director of Concourse Judging and was sold to me when he moved out of state. The restoration and reassembly was completed by myself and a very well known AMC restoration expert that helped to make the car very correct by AMC production standards with thousands of dollars in NOS and reproduction parts such an all new full tail light housings and lenses assembly, new Javelin and SST scripts, all new under hood hardware and many, many other small NOS or reproduction parts. Every part on the car was removed, inspected and replaced or refinished to be equal to or better than factory standards before reassembly making this car one of the most accurate and nicest BBG Javelin restorations anywhere. The selling price of this beautiful car is far less than it would cost to do the work on a restoration of this quality let alone the cost of finding such a rare and beautiful example of AMC Muscle! The door tag reads as follows:Model 6979-7: 69 Javelin SSTTrim 966E: very, very rare SST interior with tan dash and carpets with seats and door panels in Parchment and GlenGarry Fabric (one of the most unique combinations you will find on any AMC and not even listed as an option on some AMC websites) which is without a doubt one of the most handsome interior color combinations I have seen on any AMCPaint: P-4 Big Bad Green. During the car's restoration all metal was stripped and repainted including the full interior floors, inside of the doors, under the hood and inside of the trunk, underside of the body all of which had the car's 40 year old untouched original Big Bad Green factory paint before it was restored. The car is a true pleasure to both cruise around town or down the highway at 70 MPH were is purrs effortlessly along at around 20 MPG-WE FINANCE AND SHIP WORLDWIDE-EMAIL/CALL FOR QUESTIONS OR FREE QUOTE Price: $32,995
