For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a gorgeous 1949 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible. This car is one of the best out of legendary General Motors designer Harley Earl\s portfolio. Earl authorized the first use of tailfins which debuted on this generation Cadillac. Nothing screams classic American automotive design like a Cadillac with tailfins. This Series 62 has the original 331 CID V8 which makes 160 HP delivered through the ultra smooth 4 speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. This Cadillac underwent a professional frame off restoration in 1997 with extensive photos and documentation. In the spring of 2013 the older restoration was refreshed with over $35000 worth of work with receipts. The car is finished in a beautiful cream color with a tan convertible top. The chrome looks awesome and there is a lot of it on this vintage cruiser. The saddle leather interior is in great shape with a lovely art deco dashboard. For a car from the 40s this Caddy is loaded with automatic convertible top hub caps power seats seat belts leather interior and wide white wall tires. This car is a must see and will not disappoint.
