Looking for a high-profile way to advertise your business? Perhaps you have a large family you like to take to cruise nights and the minivan just isn't cool. Or maybe you're a truck guy who thinks he's seen it all. Well the solution is right here in the form of this brilliant 1947 Ford delivery truck which is full of modern conveniences and show-quality workmanship. As far as we can tell this is a real-deal railroad delivery truck restored to its current spectacular state by a guy with a lot of time and ambition. Not only was he an ace mechanic but he was a skilled carpenter to re-create the wood in the body as needed to bring it back to new. The rounded metal roof cap is a distinctive style of the period and with the 1947 Ford nose it has a wonderful look that's bound to make everyone who sees it feel all nostalgic. The quality of the woodwork is impressive and they didn't just make it shiny. The sliding side doors fit well the beautiful Brazilian Cherry inserts on the sides add character and the hinge hardware out back is certainly authentic-looking. Again expensive double-planked Brazilian Wood was used thought this vehicle at a tremendous cost to the builder. The paint is a lovely burgundy that looks right although no working-class vehicle in the '40s ever looked this amazing. Upgrades include HID headlights retractable and lighted running boards and a trailer hitch that suggests this hauler can still work for a living. The interior is no less spectacular with Brazilian hardwood floors and luxury everywhere you look. Its delivery days are over and now every square inch of the interior is upholstered in fabric leather or vinyl or covered in shiny wood. Distressed leather buckets are an awesome custom touch that suit the truck's personality perfectly and the lovely wood dashboard looks right not cheesy like so many other wooden panels. Classic Instruments provided the gauges and features include a powerful A/C system power windows an AM/FM/CD stereo in an overhead compartment a touch-screen entertainment system with rear-view camera and an on-board generator for both AC and DC power. The rear cargo bay is finished with burgundy carpets and padded benches above the fender wells but it's easy to see the potential here for hauling both gear and people or perhaps creating the ultimate vintage RV. There's just so much to see that you really should visit this truck in person. Performance is not a problem thanks to a 350 cubic inch crate motor rated at a stout 290 horsepower. The engine bay is clean and functional clearly laid out and built by the same master craftsman who built the rest of the truck but it isn't intended to be the star of the show. Instead they focused on reliability and easy service choosing proven components to make it work right. It's backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission while the front clip is from a late-model Camaro so it includes power steering and disc brakes. Out back there's an Air Ride suspension system to handle heavy loads along with the rear end from a C10 pickup truck. The heavy-duty chassis is nicely finished and includes a mellow dual exhaust system a 5-gallon air tank for the suspension and a set of air horns for the right sound. Simple steel wheels with hubcaps and trim rings wear staggered 235/70/15 front and 285/70/15 rear BFGoodrich Silvertown radials. A custom built trailer is included at no additional cost it can safely transport a golf cart or motorcycle and was built with the same attention to detail as the truck itself. A metal center runner was built into the trailer to make hauling motorcycles a breeze. With more than $100000 in the build this one-of-a-kind truck demands attention. If that's your kind of hauler this is a truly spectacular machine. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. For more information please call or toll free . Price: $75,995
