1968 Ford Mustang GT 390cid ‘S' Code Convertible, aggressive GT look with the front grill and the same broad stance as the first year Shelby convertible, with only 404 Shelby GT 350 convertible with the ‘302' engine and 1124 convertibles that includes the GT 500 ‘428's, this big block Mustang low production convertible is a true investment piece, very rare fully restored with final work Fall 2012, here is a very desirable Candyapple Red with Black Interior and a white convertible top, a factory original GT Equipment Group Mustang with a factory 4-speed manual transmission, proper linkage and 3.25 Conventional Axle Ratio for ideal cruising, here is a correct and dated 390cid block, intake manifold, hydraulic heads and transmission, very strong compression in the 179 to 184 range, a very rare car with the ‘90' export history, fully documented with a Deluxe Marti Report showing that of the 1968 Mustang Convertibles only 1,611 were built with this paint/trim combination and only 493 with the 390-4V and the 4-speed transmission (LINK), note with CandyApple Red color the build quantity goes down further and then with the ‘90' export designation, here is a very, very rare car that has a terrific body and highly detailed underchassis, has the correct black standard interior, this has a great presentation with the beautiful CandyApple Red and the contrasting side white ‘hockey stripes', the lower rocker moldings and the full wheel trim pieces really set this off well, lower stainless rocker moldings, the additional factory options include: GT Equipment Group, 4-speed manual transmission, correct shifter, originally came with F70x14 wide oval tires and now has the Firestone bias ply Sup-R-Belt Redlines, correct factory stamped GT wheels that are full chrome and center caps, the black bucket seated interior has the front deluxe seat belts, full console, newer Mustang radio, power disc brakes and rear drums just rebuilt, tinted glass working, hood turn signals, rear window is optional glass 2-piece, highly detailed and presented underchassis in correct red oxide with body color overspray, all brake lines new, call for pricing, see for full information, Inquire ,, Advertiser Since 1986
