This 1972 Hurst Olds is an unrestored original example with only 9,430 miles. Beautiful, orig. body, original paint and interior. The 1972 Hurst olds was actually developed by Hurst Performance and not Oldsmobile. It was the only time an Indy Pace Car was sponsored by a manufacturer other than an automotive manufacturer. The 1972 edition of the Hurst Olds had some of the lowest production numbers of any produced with a total of 629 made. 130 convertibles, 279 hard top cars and only 220 with power sunroof option. All cars had the W25 Ram Air hood and gold SS III Rally wheels. This car is considered an extremely original survivor car, #'s matching 455 V8 UA 455 w/o AC motor delivers 270hp, also, a #'s match TH400 automatic trans. orig. 3.23 anti spin axle. One of 220 with a power sunroof options makes this Hurst very collectible. Built in Lansing MI, built the 1st week in April 1972. Previously sold from Dewar Olds in Johnstown PA, comes with A.P.A title according to other previous owner history. The car went to Vermont around 2004 and sold to a collector in NH. Unfortunately the PA state the miles are exempt because of its age, but there is no question this is a completely orig. car and the mileage is believable. Straight body lines, orig. gold stripes, factory 1/2 vinyl roof with orig. Hurst olds logos. Completely orig. weather strip, door window felts, chrome bumpers that are in excellent orig. unrestored condition. Bright work, stainless that is also completely original. Rust free door bottoms, perfect alignment of hood, doors and rear deck lid. Original body color on the underside of the floors, orig. exhaust, except new tail pipes. orig. spiral shocks, F41 suspension, solid frame, all orig. front end components, orig. 14" SS III wheels, however, they could use refinishing. Under the hood has all its orig. components. PS, PFDB, orig. Delco Moraine brake power booster. No modifications, only minor touch up on the top of the engine. New date coded spark plug wires. Orig. belts and radiator hoses, orig. Harrison radiator with orig. UC tag. Ram Air air cleaner element, S-tube, heat shield still in place. Nice clean inner plastic fender liners, clean orig. paint on inner fender jambs. Orig. W-25 Ram Air hood. The interior is unmistakably original and in superior condition. Black Strato bucket seats, console with dual gate shifter, perfect orig. steering wheel, orig. door panels, headliner, rear pkg. tray, dash pad, seat covers and instrument cluster that is simply stunning. All the interior trim pieces, door hardware have a brilliant luster to them. Factory seat belts, in perfect condition, shoulder belts, am radio, day/might mirror with courtesy light, driver's side remote mirror and light group. Doors that open and close with a simple touch. A well preserved car that the orig. weather strip still looks like new. Most impressive is the trunk. Orig. G-60 14" Goodyear Poly steel radial tire that has never been down. Orig. jack and trunk mat. Factory orig. spatter paint, never exposed to moisture what so ever. Considered a true time capsule, never restored. Owner history car with under 10,000 miles. Items not original to the car are the 4 tires and battery, spark plug wires and 2 tail pipes. Comes with PA Title, orig. selling dealer's name, Owner' Manual, Warranty booklet and a very interesting story. Remember, they are only orig. once!
