1962 Jaguar MK 2 3.8Liter, I was finishing this MKII for myself. I purchased it from a Florida estate (clean FL title), and was told that it was previously a Carolina car. This MK II was rebuilt to be driven... anywhere... all day long. Power Steering and Power Brakes The Borg Warner automatic transmission has been properly replaced with a General Motors 700 R4, automatic, using the correct "bolt in kit" from John's Cars, Dallas, Texas. The car is unmolested, very solid and straight, with the correct, excellent running, 3.8 Liter Engine. The top end of the engine was recently done with a complete rebuild of the carburetors, a new water pump, distributor, stainless steel exhaust, complete with new porcelain exhaust manifolds. The engine compartment looks appealing and correct. The fuel system, the brake system, ignition system, cooling system, etc. have all been gone over and many parts replaced or rebuilt. The interior is recently new, carpet to headliner to include new seat foam. The interior wood was cleaned up at that time but not refinished. It is solid and shows very well. Everything was removed from this car when it was repainted a few years ago. The paint looks good, with a few small blemishes, but is not of show quality. New, bolt on, Dayton Wire Wheels and Tires. This MK II includes the original owners manual, jack and the complete factory tool kit. All work mentioned as been performed in less than 2000 miles. I am presently finishing up a few little things and have purchased some parts and better chrome not yet installed, but included. I have many additional pictures that I can e-mail you. Best to call for a better description. I may consider a partial trade for a sports car project. Regards, Joe, $27,500 obo
