This was the first year for the Nomad and this example is probably one of the nicest in existence. It is a beautiful Turquoise over India Ivory with a matching interior. It was beautifully restored and has just 3,921 miles since completion. The underneath is just as nice as the rest of the car. This car has won many awards that include an AACA Junior and an AACA Senior award winner, Grand National 3rd place, Grand National Preservation Award, National Nomad Association original and best engine/driveline, National Nomad Association original best interior, National Nomad Association original restored 1st place. The engine is the 265ci V-8 with a Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission. It runs and drives incredibly well. It features wide whitewall tires, power steering, power brakes, AM radio, clock, seat belts and a tissue dispenser. It is 1 of only 8,386 produced in 1955and was the most expensive Chevrolet produced in 1955 and cost $265 more than a similarly equipped Bel Air Convertible., $89,500
