1965 CHEVROLET CORVETTE STING RAY CONVERTIBLE $61,995.00, Mid Year Corvettes, as these are known, are arguably the most desirable of all Classic Corvettes. They drive really well, have a decent amount of room inside and for 1965 they finally came with 4-wheel disc brakes. This Corvette is a very nice example and a great driver. A local customer of ours bought this car back around 2005 and at that time it was a very nice original and unmolested car. He proceeded to spend in excess of $11,000.00 just on mechanical work with a local and very good and respected Corvette Repair facility. Additionally he had the car repainted and did a lot of cosmetic restoration to make it stand out and look sharp. He also fitted a set of Knock Off Wheels and a Hurst Shifter linkage, visually this looks stock but it sure shifts a lot nicer. Power is from the 327 V8 rated at 300 Horsepower and this appears to be matching numbers. The casting number is 3782870, the date code is H214, the pad number is 5100814 F0825HF and the VIN number is 194675S100814. The rear end is a Posi-traction 3.36 ratio and the code is AM81864. It has the correct air cleaner, upper and lower ignition shielding, correct expansion tank and correct 1965 radiator. The weather stripping is all in very good condition and the seat covers and carpet were replaced when the car was painted. The dash pads and door panels are in nice condition and appear original. It has an original style AM/FM Corvette Radio. Other equipment includes power steering and power brakes. The bumpers have been re-chromed and the tail light housings are nice. The body fit is good and the bonding strips are intact. The chassis is very good and very solid. Originally the car was Ermine White with standard Black Interior.
