1953 Cadillac Cpe de Ville, TO WHOM IT MAY BE OF INTEREST….., I have a 1953 Cadillac Cpe de Ville for sale. I have had the car for over 40 years and never completed the restoration. I bought the car from a customer of mine in 1963. He was a Chiropractor, driving the car every day, and put a rod through the engine. I had a 1953 convertible that I had overhauled the engine on, painted, and got t-boned by a guy running a red light totaling the car. That is the engine that sits in this coupe. I bought a 4 door parts car in New Mexico 12 years ago with factory AC and many usable parts. The front sheet metal was fine and rust free plus it had all the brackets and utility AC parts mounted to it so I put the whole nose on the coupe. The big AC unit is installed in the trunk but has never been hooked up. The compressor is mounted on the block. I have another complete engine, transmission, and driveline plus many other spare parts. The interior of the car is in good shape. It has a nice leather headliner with chrome bows that is perfect. Front seat upholstery is worn but back seat and sides are fine. I found original seat fabric in California available by the yard. It is a perfect match. The car has power windows, seat, and antenna. I also have an autronic headlamp control system for it. The glass is all good and I have extra windows, front and rear bumpers, and a new set of factory wheel covers. The only rust spots on the car are in the lower front corners of the rear fenders where mud accumulates. They are about 5' across and easily repaired. The car is all there and just needs a quality restoration and a few AC incidentals. The car is currently garaged in Upstate New York available for inspection. I have.a series of digital photos showing all aspects of the car plus the spare parts. It pains me to have never completed the restoration of this fine vehicle but I turn 78 next month and the prospects of me getting it done are small. I have never had a problem locating parts and as a Cadillac enthusiast I'm sure you are privy to many sources and resources. I hope the info creates an interest. Thanks for your interest.,, $8,500
