This is a 1 family owned Arizona car with 70,351 actual miles. It has the correct matching numbers V Code 455ci V-8 with a 4-speed manual transmission. It has its original interior and recently received a frame-on restoration. It has had 1 repaint from new and it looks terrific. There was no rust found on the body and the trunk and floor pans are solid as you would expect from a car that was in the Southwest for all of its life until August of 2010. The engine was just rebuilt by a machine shop in November 2011 at a cost of $1,700, not including the removal of the engine and it performs flawlessly. The engine was repainted in the correct Metallic Blue. It has an aftermarket carburetor and manifold and comes with the original set-up as shown in the pictures. The options and features include factory air conditioning, AM/FM Cassette player, factory in-dash tachometer, remote drivers mirror, dual exhaust, power steering and power brakes. The air conditioner blows ice cold. The VIN number is 3G87V2M226503 and it decodes as follows: 3= Oldsmobile, G= Cutlass, 87= Hardtop Coupe, V= V-8 455ci 4-Barrel Carburetor and dual exhaust, 2= 1972, M= Lansing, Michigan assembly plant and 226503= the production number. The trim tag decodes as follows; Style 72-33687= 72=1972 3= Oldsmobile 3687= Cutlass S 2-Door Hardtop, Trim 947= White Vinyl Interior, Paint 7575=Matador Red Paint. The engine block number is 32M226503 which decodes as follows: 3= Oldsmobile, 2= 1972, M= Lansing, 226503= Last six digits of the VIN number. The additional numbers on the engine are on the oil spout 2616251, block 32M226503, top of block 396021 and the back of block R3710. We believe it to be a factory 442, but there are a couple of items that need to be brought to your attention. The Trim Tag shows A52 which would possibly indicate a bench seat and the 442 emblem on the passenger side of the dash, according to our research, should not be there. Otherwise this is a very special car that has all the right stuff for a factory 442 including the bumps on the inner fenders where the hood matches up. It starts on the first try and it runs incredibly well. The transmission and clutch both work perfectly and it is a very easy car to drive with tons of power. This is a true muscle car that will only appreciate in value.,, $32,500
