1971 Porsche 911T Sunroof Coupe, A development of Porsche's open road rally program is the strong and dependable 911T. Powered by a 2.2 liter flat six motor, the 911T brought Porsche first Monte Carlo Rally victory. The engine developed 125 horsepower 130 foot pounds of torque and was the most tractable of the 911 offering in 1971. Porsche added crankcase oil squirters, Zenith carburetors and 3 speed wipers to the list of standard equipment for the 1971 model year., This original paint and interior 911T was bought new at Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville, Florida. Brumos salesman, Ted Cash sold the car to Werner Romminger of Huntsville, Alabama. Werner equipped the car with a 5 speed, Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, Appearance Group, Air Conditioning, Tinted Glass, Electric Sunroof and Electric Windows. The total selling price for the Tangerine 911T is noted on the “retail buyer's order' form was $8,906.70. The history includes documentation from ordering at Brumos to today., It is rare to find this kind of documentation on all seven owners in combination with original paint and interior. The Tangerine color is a classic and popular period color and the car sports some very rare factory options. The original paint still has great depth of finish and the interior is near perfect. The car represents an interesting opportunity to own an original and timeless Porsche 911 and is ready to compete as a “Preservation' car in any concours.,, $79,500
