This 1955 GMC 100 (2nd series) has the original 288 V-8 engine and heavy duty 3 speed transmission. The engine was rebuilt in 2009 and has less than 500 miles on the rebuild. The odometer has less than 89,000 original miles. It has the deluxe cab with wrap around rear window, all stainless trim and sun visor. It is equipped with the deluxe heater, AM radio and clock. The radio works and the clock did the last time it was connected to power. The paint and upholstery match the original colors and fabric. The bed is completely refurbished in Oak with 8 coats of clear spar varnish. The body was restored in 2002 and their is no bondo. The few rust areas were replaced with metal patch panels., I have an inventory of about $1,400 in small parts, I also have original (not reproduction) Maintenance Manual, Master Parts Book and Owner's Guide and Data that came with this truck., The appraiser of the GMC said: "This is one of the finest examples of one of these trucks I've seen. Given the fact of it being a big back window deluxe cab with all the extra moldings and due to it being a factory V-8 makes this a really rare find.", I have been told that the manual transmission is extremely rare with the V-8 as most had the Hydromatic transmission., The GMC has been in the my family since 1968 when it was purchased from Foremost Dairy in Portland, Oregon. I have full documentation of the ownership of the GMC., The only non-stock items are an electric fuel pump and dual exhausts., The GMC is garaged and only taken out when it is not raining., NADA gives Average Retail of $19,400 and High Retail of $39,800., $24,950 negotiable
