This '74 TR-6 is a true "Time Capsule". It was purchased originally in St. Louis, MO and was used sparingly for approximately 4 years and placed in dry storage for the next 25 years. The car has never been damaged and all sheet metal is believed to be original. The odometer reading (45,728) is accurate. It was purchased by the second owner in 2003 and taken to Hawaii. That owner used the car occasionally and began a restoration project by replacing many engine parts . I purchased the car two years ago had it shipped to the mainland (California) and completed the majority of the reconditioning. The interior has been replaced completely including: • New custom cut and installed carpets (not a carpet kit), • Dynamat and jute installed on the floorboards which are rust free, • Custom made boots for the shifter and the parking brake lever, • All new knobs and dashboard lighting, • New 3 point seatbelts, • New sound system (MP3 player), • Custom fabricated panels on the tunnel, • New sun visors, • Dynamat installed in the doors, • Window regulators removed and reconditioned, • All new rubber seals on the door jams, hood, and trunk, • New trunk panels and light, • Completely new seats on the original frames with new foam, new webbing, and new vinyl OEM upholstery,, The top frame has been completely rebuilt and the new top includes the proper reflecting strip. The boot cover is new and there are 2 tonneau covers and an original British Leyland "seasonal" removable hard top with proper 1970's vinyl covering. There is a new dynamat hood liner to help mitigate sound and heat. The car has been garaged since new and the paint, while not perfect, is the original Pimento Red which has been clay blocked and buffed out to 80°ew condition. The chrome is not pitted and is nearly perfect. There is a new stainless steel exhaust system with a very robust exhaust note. The flywheel was resurfaced and a new clutch was installed in 2009. The carburetors have been rebuilt and are properly synchronized. Compression tests out at 125lbs in each cylinder. The car runs perfectly and starts immediately and can be driven daily if desired. There are many new engine parts and all maintenance records and parts receipts are included from 2003 until present.,, $14,000 negotiable
