Ford celebrated a well desired 50th Anniversary in 1953, and introduced a newly designed Ford to commemorate the occasion! The very next year, the ended production of the long-lived flathead with the induction of the Y-Block, overhead valve engines! They offered amble power, better cooling, and excellent reliability! The first being a successfully 239ci V8 that paved the way for the future engine OHV designs, making the 1954 a rare, one-year only production model and the last of the Crestline model series altogether. This is a unique piece of the Ford production puzzle and a special investment for the wise collector!, We are absolutely delighted to offer this beautiful 1954 Ford Crestline Sunliner convertible that has been fully refurbished in frame-off fashion with stunning results! Finished in Torch Red (originally Sandstone White) over correct White/Red Vinyl interior and Black stayfast cloth soft top accented perfectly with red piping, the appearance is nothing short of show quality! Power comes from the original 239ci V8 engine producing 130 horsepower and 214 lb. ft. of torque mated to a 3-speed synchromesh manual transmission. It comes loaded with all available options including Master Guide power steering, Swift Sure power assisted brakes, 4-way power driver seat, power convertible top, power lift windows, pushbutton AM radio, dual spotlight mirrors, electric clock, Magic-Aire heater system, day/light rearview mirror, turn signal indicators, See-Clear windshield washer system, Coronado Kit (faux continental trunk), full dash instrumentation with sunlight Astra-Dial speedometer illumination, yellow-lensed fog lights, front hood ornament, and BF Goodrich Silvertown 3' wide whitewall radials tires measuring 6.70-15 with matching spare!, This gorgeous car hails from the southern state of Georgia and drives absolutely as nice as it looks! It has not been overlooked in any aspect and new components match the quality of the restored originals!
