Please contact us for more information., This 1966 Shelby GT 350 Racing Car is powered by a 485bhp, 295cubic inch V8 engine with a race-prepared Jerico transmission with Hurst shifter and linkage. It is with complete Cobra Automotive competition front and rear suspension, 12-inch Lincoln Trans-Am style front disc brakes and 11-inch rear drum brakes. Wheelbase: 108', According to the Shelby American World Registry, this GT 350 (SFM6S1971) started life as a rental car for the Hertz “Rent-A-Racer' program and was shipped on April 29, 1966 to Larsen Ford, Inc in White Plains, New York for dealer preparation, prior to delivery to Hertz in New York, New York. After a brief stint with Hertz, finished in the customary black and gold livery, it was sold to Jerry Lobia of Oakland, New Jersey., In March 1972, it was purchased by Anthony Rea II of (Southborough, MA) before being bought in 1996 by Curt Vogt (owner of Cobra Automotive), who converted it into a vintage race car. The car was ultimately acquired by John Kolb in 2002.
