This is one of the most desirable Ford muscle cars of the era, the Fairlane 500 GT. This real S code 390 big block with a 4 speed transmission is a collectors dream. The codes line up like this: (76D) Convertible 500 GT bucket seat, (A) Black exterior, (86) Black interior, (27A) January 27, (25) Richmond DSO, (D) 3:25:1 rear axle, and (5) Top loader 4-Speed transmission. All showing on the original data plate on the drivers door. The body is outstanding with original sheet metal, fantastic paint, GT trim, and excellent chrome. The red rocker stripe, period correct F-70-14 red-line tires, GT badges, and chrome styled steel wheels are like what you would have found sitting on the showroom floor at your local Ford dealer. The interior is all original except the dash pad and carpet. It still looks great. Also the original console, factory shifter, deluxe GT trim, seat belts, and factory radio are there. If you look closely at the photos this car is void of multiple modifications. Only a chrome dress up kit and aluminum dual turbo muffler exhaust deviate from the factory equipment. The motor compartment is highly detailed to show quality standards. The trunk is just as nice and even has the original jack mounted in the factory location. The original boot had to be replaced with a reproduction unit but will be in the trunk. The power operated top is all new including the seals. On top of how nice the car is, it drives great also. It is hard to beat a triple black convertible with a big block/4-speed combination. This is an outstanding collector car ready to show, drive, and enjoy. Make it yours today. Financing, insurance, and delivery are available., $44,500 negotiable ,, Advertiser Since 1999
