This 1974 Chevrolet C10 pickup is a great example of how to mix and match factory parts to create something unique. At first glance you might think this was just another ordinary C10 but a closer look reveals some updates that make it something more than it seems. The bright green paint might look like something the Forest Service would have ordered on their fleet but to be honest it looks awesome on the Chevy's squared-off features. The paint isn't very old either so it has a depth and a golden glow that looks fantastic in the sunlight and further separates this truck from its more ordinary siblings. The bed is from a newer 1985 model but thanks to Chevy's enduring design it was a direct bolt-on and looks absolutely correct. Chrome bumpers have been fitted fore and aft and they show off a great shine that accentuates the green paint quite well. There's also no sign of rust or accident damage and even the floor of the bed looks almost completely untouched. Where most C10s got a basic vinyl bench (and this one surely did too) there's now a pair of grey fabric buckets from a late model Chevy pickup complete right down to the center seat that doubles as an armrest. Covered in handsome striped fabric that's surely durable as well as comfortable it has a great OEM look that's a big improvement in the comfort department. This truck also offers ice cold factory A/C matching gray door panels and a full complement of factory gauges. There's no sign of UV damage to the dash pad matching gray carpets have been fitted along with protective rubber floor mats and the lower half of the dash has been painted to match the body giving the interior a cool two-tone look. The original AM radio is still there too which is kind of an odd feature on a truck with A/C but it also means that this truck is from a warm dry climate and that's always good news. Pop the hood and you'll find a traditionally dressed 350 cubic inch V8 complete with Chevy Orange paint a factory air cleaner and a high level of OEM equipment. Rugged smooth and reliable the 350 moves the truck easily starts quickly and has a nice V8 rumble from the dual exhaust system. In addition to A/C there's also power steering and brakes making this a truck that can work hard without making you sweat. The engine's backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission spinning a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end so it's ready to work immediately. Note how solid and clean the undercarriage is with no signs of rust or previous damage. And rounding out this truck's list of clever upgrades are a set of late-model alloy wheels wearing 235/75/15 whitewall radials. If you're looking for a clean honest truck one that needs nothing and is ready to work or play take a good long look at this C10 and call today! $14,995 ,, Advertiser Since 2008
