1953 BUICK WOODY WAGON, THIS IS THE LAST YEAR ANYONE MADE A WOODY WAGON. It is a Golden Anniversary Super Estate Wagon., All other car makers stopped making a woody wagon by 1952., Buick decided to make their last Super and Roadmaster Estate Wagons for 1953 to celebrate their, GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY (they started in 1903). Less than 2,000 of these cars were produced that year., This is the model 50 Super Estate Wagon. This is a rare opportunity to own a unique automobile., A GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY emblem is located in the middle of the steering wheel (see picture) and, on the middle of the front bumper. The original owner's manual includes the golden anniversary on its, front cover.,, I am the 3rd owner of this car. Those of you familiar with car collectors in the Denver area may remember, Herman Chapman, longtime collector, Buick club member and race-engine builder. I purchased this car, from him in 1984.,, We have recently spent $20,000 completely rebuilding the engine and transmission. It runs like it did new., Everything works on this car, radio, heater, etc.,, As you can see from the photos, there is little to be done to this car. You can hop in it and enjoy it from, the first day you own it, just as we did nearly 30 years ago. This buick has been driven regularly, although, not far. It is not so meticulously restored so that it has to sit in some warehouse. These cars were heavy, and comfortable and deserve to be driven and enjoyed.,, We will be definitely selling this car this fall. Our asking price is reasonable, and we will take the best realistic offer we receive by October 15.,, If you've been looking at Woodies, and particularly if you like the Buicks, look no further. We would like our baby to, have new owners who will enjoy her as we have., $50,000
