It's impossible to claim pro-street is dead when trucks like this insanely cool 1966 Chevrolet C10 are around. Yeah it's got the wide-by-huge rear tires but it definitely needs them with a 383 cubic inch torque factory under the hood. And this isn't some full-race piece that's a handful on the street either because it packs A/C power steering power disc brakes and a fantastic custom look. Stepside pickups are a natural for the pro-street treatment with those fat rear fenders offering clearance for the giant meats out back. Lowered like this one has been it looks fast just sitting still ando offers a ton of cool details like the parking lights integrated into the hood along with those nostrils that force-feed the hot small block underneath. The tailgate has been punched full of louvers for a vintage hot rod touch that never goes out of style and that wing assembly on the rear of the cab is a factory piece that looks built for speed. Peek under that tonneau cover and there's an oak bed and tubbed wheel wells that still allow it to be used as a pickup. I'm pretty sure those taillights were cribbed from a Model A Ford but they nevertheless look great on this Chevy. Simple is good as far as pickup truck interiors go but when you take a truck to the next level the interior needs to go with it. Fortunately this one has the goods with a beautifully sculpted bench seat upholstered in matching blue fabric three-tone door panels and tan carpets that brighten the place up nicely. The dash offers a full array of VDO analog gauges and a classy wooden panel with neat additions like the integrated turn signal indicators and the Chevy bowtie high-beam indicator. A powerful A/C system has been added using stock-appearing eyeball vents and an AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit delivers the entertainment just in case the performance isn't enough. And perform it does thanks to a 383 cubic inch stroker. If you've never driven one of these over-achieving small blocks you're missing out on an ideal combination of torque and rev-happiness. With an Edelbrock intake a Holley 4-barrel and an MSD ignition it pulls like a freight train and revs like a race engine. When it's sitting still you'll want to pop the hood and show off all that polished aluminum under the hood as well as the professionally designed wiring and plumbing. A set of long-tube headers feeds a raucous dual exhaust system that dumps just under the rear axle and 4-wheel disc brakes make sure it can stop as well as it accelerates. Polished Weld Pro-Star wheels give it a traditional drag race look and wear Mickey Thompson tires. If pro-street is dead someone forgot to tell this truck. Hammer this into your local cruise night and watch mothers grab up their children and the guys with the truly fast cars won't even make eye contact. Call today!
