This car has undergone a full, no expense spared restoration, and the car may be the nicest on the market today. The mechanicals were done by one of finest Packard restorers in the country, Byron York, of Ridgefield, Ct. AUTOMOTIVE RESTORATIONS BY YORK is known throughout the Packard community as the authority on these cars. We spoke to Byron York, he told us that the 245 CID engine on this car was built to the highest standards he could do!!! The 6-cylinder engine runs ARIAS forged pistons, stainless steel valves, fully balanced crank and camshaft, and was fully blueprinted. This car starts and runs beautifully, and has good power. The engine compartment is fully detailed. The 3-speed manual was rebuilt at the same time, and the clutch was replaced. The correct Green paint was done by Gary Mate of Danbury, CT. It shows well, with great luster and depth and no orange peel. The shut lines and all panel gaps are all to factory specs. The chrome and bright work are both near show quality. The “no expensed spared' nature of the restoration, extends to the interior of the car. The correct green “wool' seat material was used, and the interior shows as almost new. The dash and steering wheel are excellent, and all of the mechanical systems work as they should. The complete brake system, including drums, lines, pads and hydraulics. the wheels were restored, and the tires are new.
