This car is an excellent starting point for a restoration., The aqua exterior with black vinyl interior 1977 Camaro Sport Coupe has 31,100 original one-owner miles. It needs work to make it driveable again. It needs tires. It needs the fuel and braking systems gone through. All fluids need to be changed. The car has not been washed in over 30 years so there is light dust and dirt to deal with but it has been garaged the entire time., This was my wife's first car that her dad bought her a year after she graduated from high school., It was factory ordered from Bill Wink Chevrolet in Detroit on April 26, 1977 with the following options: 250 CI six cylinder (standard on the Sport Coupe), Turbo-hydramatic automatic, Power brakes, Sport mirrors, Center console, Rally wheels, Whitewall tires, Tinted glass, AM/FM, While it didn't appear on the order form this car also has a factory single rear speaker. (It may have come standard with the AM/FM radio)., This car was manufacured during the 3rd week of May at the Van Nuys, CA plant., 218,000 Camaro's were manufactured in 1977 and out of this production run there were only 31,000 six cylinders. There were only 10,000 painted in teal, which is the third rarest color in 1977., It was delivered to my wife on June 10, 1977., My wife drove the car for two years. In 1978 somebody keyed it down one side so she had it repaired. When it was repainted her boyfriend decided to have the chrome window trim and headlight bezels painted flat black like the Rally Sport models. She wasn't too pleased and from that point on didn't like the car nearly as much as when it had chrome trim. In 1979 she parked it in her mom's garage in Detroit where it sat, untouched, until about 1985. The car was not prepped for storage when it was parked., In 1985 the car needed to be moved to a different garage and it started right up and was driven to the new garage where it was parked again. Just like the first time it was parked, it was not prepped for storage this time, either., In 1996 following a divorce, her ex-husband wanted the car removed from the garage ASAP. She couldn't find the keys on short notice so the steering column lock was broken in order to steer the car. The car was then towed back to her mom's garage and parked., In 1999 or 2000 the car was flat bed hauled to it's current garage in Warren, MI where it has sat ever since., This car spent a good portion of its life in Detroit so it had an old school aftermarket alarm system installed way back when. Unfortunately, the lock//switch was installed in the left front fender as it was the popular thing to do in the day. Still have the original key to this lock., A previous boyfriend apparently installed coil spring spacers in the front springs. My wife doesn't know or remember why but they're there and can be seen in the photos., It has never been in an accident, however, the lower front fiberglass valance and lip has run into parking blocks or curbs in the past and is cracked., We have the original ignition and trunk keys., It has a black vinyl interior. It needs a headliner, center console lid cover (the vinyl is split) and the steering wheel center cap/horn blow needs to be installed. The original carpeting looks pretty good considering the age. The vinyl dash and padded door arm rests need a good cleaning at the mimimum but they aren't split., It has the original rally wheels, trim rings and center caps., It appears that the rubber brake lines have rotted through., The fuel system will need to be gone through because if there is any gas left in the tank it's from 1979., Once air is added to the tires it should roll enough to get it on a trailer or flat bed wrecker. At least they held air 12 or 13 years ago when we rolled it into its current resting spot., We have the following original documentation: Retail Order for a Motor Vehicle dated April 4, 1977, Wink Chevrolet $100 deposit receipt for the factory order, Original Application for Michigan Title, Original Michigan Title, Warranty Information, Original owners manual, The factory build sheet is still probably under the back seat., $3,750 obo
