1955 CHEVROLET BEL AIR, Restoration... Aftermarket power front disc brakes, aftermarket Vintage Air conditioning System, aftermarket AM/FM/Cassette Stereo System. This car was completely stripped down to nothing but the body, sandblasted, painted and rebuilt with parts ordered through Classic Chevy International - Orlando, FL. The interior was completely redone with new material for the seats and headliner Exterior... Body and paint appraised in 2002 as excellent Interior... interior appraised in 2002 as excellent Mechanical... The engine and transmisson were rebuilt by a local company Notes... My father bought this car in 1971. He drove this car as his main form of transportation. He then decided he would completly restore the car professionally. There was not a deadline to complete the car since my father was retired and he would have a number of years to drive and enjoy the car. The restoration work was done between early 1997 and late 1998. My father was not able to enjoy driving the car due to illness and I then parked the car in my garage. I occasionally start it up and drive it around the block and as a result there has been very little milage put on this car since it was restored. This car has not been in an accident since my father has owned it and he did not need to do any repair work after he purchased it in '71.
