1930 FORD CUSTOM, Mechanical... The car is powered by a built 1953 Ford Flattie V-8 with rare hard to find Vintage original sharp finned aluminum heads of course, headers, etc. 5-Speed, top loader manual tranny. Banjo rear end. 16" ribbed tires in the front, and Mon Spun aluminum discs on AOO wheels. A large puller type electric fan cools the oversize radiator in the trunk area, venting thru the 192 louvers in the trunk lid. Notes... "The Sharp Special" All Steel. This car is styled after the famous Art Chrisman Dry Lakes Racer, that held records back in the fifties. This car is street legal, even has turn lights. The front end body work is made from two '40 Ford hoods, which was the way these Hot Rods were made back in the Fifties. Seat belts and aluminum Bucket seats are very rear, and are from a world war 2 fighter plane. Juice brakes. Custom dash. Speedo. Tach 2 water temp gauges, one for each head. I am in the process now of installing new Firestone Dirt Track tires, and bead-blasted Buick finned aluminum brake drums on the car. Has many more features, and that info and more pictures are available to serious inquires. It runs and drives nicely, and gets lots of attention on short hops and at shows. The perfect car for a collector who wants something very unique and different.
