1969 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX SJ, 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix Model SJ with the 370 horse power 428 cid engine. Automatic transmission, Power steering, Power brakes, Air conditioning, Power windows, cruise control, Safe-T-track suspension, Tilt wheel, Rally guage cluster and clock, Automatic level control and dual exhaust. Basically this car is fully loaded. This vehicle was built in Pontiac, Michigan and first sold at Webster Pontiac in National city, California in early 1969. I have the P.H.S. documentation that will go with the vehicle.I purchased the car in 2004 out of the mid-states area from a guy that bought it with a group of British cars that he bought from someone in California. My intention was to fully restore this vehicle, however, things have changed and I am going to sell it. When I brought this California car back to California, the DMV wouldn't let me keep the original black and yellow California license plate because it had left California during it's life even though it was never registered outside of California. I still have one of the original ones in my possession. new brakes and rotors, new motor mounts, powder coated exhaust headers, new battery, new timing chain, cover and gears, starter, new power brake unit with new master cylinder, new fuel pump and replaced all the rubber molding for the doors and trunk. I also have a new high performance bushing kit and ball joints still in the boxes that will go with the car. The things it needs: Body rot at the rear bottom of front fenders. Body rot under vinyl top. Not sure how much damage without removing the top. Vinyl top needs to be replaced. Body rot on trunk lid. Small crease on drivers door and rear quarter panel. Body damage to front right fender. Surface rust and some pitting with no holes in the trunk. Not original paint job. Need to have body work done and re-painted. Engine runs but may be tired. I was going to rebuild it but just got it running good to sell it. Interior needs new door panels, seats, bucket seat backs, headliner and package tray. The A/C blows great probably just needs freon. also needs shocks. Bumpers are in good shape but could use to be re-chromed.
