1967 AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 MKIII, This fabulous 1967 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 Phase II convertible is finished in the classic color combination of British racing green exterior with tan leather interior. It is a two owner car from new! It was sold new to its original Texas owner in December of 1966 by Overseas Motors Corporation an authorized Austin Healey dealership in Fort Worth, Texas. The car spent its entire early life in rust free Texas until October of 1994 when an Indiana resident purchased it ans had it shipped to southern Indiana. Although the car was in very nice original condition when it arrived in Indiana. The second owner really wanted it to be as close to perfect as possible. In January of 2005 he sent it to Nationwide Auto Restoration a nationally recognized British car restoration shop located in Clarksville, Indiana. The car was the subject of a full ground up restoration including all cosmetics and mechanicals. During the restoration the car was taken down to bare metal and was detrermined to be virtually rust free. It was then properly restored to show quality standards. It should be noted that the original excellent banjo type steering wheel is included with the car and was replaced after restoration with a period correct smaller diameter wooded "Moto Lita" wheel which allows easier driving and more comfortable seating position. Total restoration costs exceeded $60K. The car has been well maintained and serviced since restoration and is well sorted out for both showing and driving. Although the condition is excellent, perhaps the most impressive thing about tis car is the COMPLETE documentation which comes with it. We have all service records from day one! We have the original owner's manual and service booklet as well as original repair tickets from new. The car comes with complete photo documentation of the restoration including the engine, chassis and body. Included is the British Heritage trust Certificate of authenticity attesting to the correct matching numbers of this beautiful big Healey! This vehicle is available for immediate purchase at the listing price in our showroom located at 508 W. Carmel Drive, Carmel, Indiana 46032.
