1969 CHEVROLET CAMARO Z28, 1969 Camaro Z28, Cross Ram. Possibly one of the finest investment grade Camaros on the market at this time. Matching numbers throughout, this Z28 has an impeccable provenance and wonderful history. The car is outstanding both mechanically and cosmetically and finished to show quality. This car is believed to have had six owners according to all information available. The car and all of its numbers have been decoded using the JERRY MACNEISH BIBLE. The motor has the correct original matching numbered and date coded engine block, and the proper heads that are also date coded to the car. VIN# 124379L529383 has a copy of the original window sticker. The car features a 1967 Chevy Factory racing Prototype intake manifold. This extremely rare stamped and coded intake manifold is believed to be one of only 3 cast by the Winters Foundry for the GM racing division. These manifolds were manufactured for the Trans-Am racing series. In order to accommodate the cross ram manifold, a fiberglass hood was installed with the appropriate venting, the original hood, intake manifold and carburetor have been kept and is also included with the car. According to the previous the owner, the correct original 302 DZ engine was rebuilt by legendary engine builder Keith Black. A GM heavy duty off road cam (part#754) was installed during the rebuild, and the original cam was kept and is also included with the car. The motor has excellent 11:1 compression running #3946876 GM forged aluminum pistons. The original matching number M-20 4-speed transmission was also rebuilt by Keith Black. The car features the optional power steering and power brakes. The color is the original 71-71 Lemans Blue. The interior of the car has been finished to a very high standard, utilizing the period correct hounds tooth pattern. The dash is likewise excellent, and the car features the very rare factory optional, on the console 8 track tape player. The steering wheel is the beautiful and correct rosewood steering wheel. VIN #124379L529383 has a set of brand new B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A tires all of which are in as new condition. WE HAVE AN ORIGINAL SET OF POLY GLASS TIRES WHICH WERE ON THE CAR IN PLASTIC BAGS IN OUR SHOP. The original body and all the floors and quarters are terrific. From all examination, and expert inspection, the transmission tunnel and the rockers panels and the original seat body supports were deemed to be original. The under carriage is fully detailed and in show condition. The proper power front disc brakes have been rebuilt with rotors, calipers, pads, hoses and stainless steel hardware. The rear drums have been rebuilt to stock specs, note the very important factory original Super Sport Brake bias valve, this is tell tale piece for a Real Z-28. One of the most desirable cars in the collector market, this 1969 Z-28 Camaro is sure to appreciate in value.
