1979 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE 1500, We are looking for a good home for this fun car! It is a 1979 but it has been converted to look like a 1978 with chrome bumpers. Classic white with black interior. Four speed manual transmission. New convertible top this year. What a change that made! The rain stays outside and the rear plastic window is crystal clear. New ABS transmission tunnel cover and carpeting installed this summer. Seats were redone in original black and white houndstooth pattern with new foam a few years ago. Stromberg SD Carb was rebuilt two years ago. New fuel pump and water pump. Front brake pads just replaced. Tires are great. Factory radio replaced with a Pioneer Supertuner DEH-1500 (AM/FM/CD). Body in good condition, only serious rust is on the floor boards under the seats (I suspect there was a water leak early in it's life) but it's stable now. It was repainted by the previous owner; not a great job but OK. Lot's of fun to drive with the top down. I bought it in 2001 for my wife but with the kids it didn't get much use. It still has a lot of life left in it.
