2007 MERCEDES BENZ SL55, The swan song for the SL55 is a good one. Right before it gave way to the new-for-08 SL63, Mercedes did one last upgrade to the much-loved Supercharged 5.5L V8 giving it even more power to top out at 510hp and 531lb-ft of torque. Performance is obviously blistering, and many are already lamenting the loss of the fat torque plateau and muscle car charm that the new 6.3L simply can t match. Mercedes also gave a minor face lift with some detail and styling changes like a new grille, revised intakes, and ultra cool F1-style aluminum shift paddles instead of the previous buttons on the steering wheel. The 55 pictured here is finished in Mystic White over Stone Napa Leather with perforated seating surfaces. It has the optional all glass Panorama roof panel in the folding hardtop, Keyless Go, Ventilated seats, adaptive bi-xenon headlamps, and Sirius Satellite Radio. The original MSRP would have been $138,385, making this a supercar bargain now at under $100k.. This vehicle has a 5.5L V8 - Supercharged engine and an automatic transmission.
