1985 MERCEDES BENZ 300SD, Very classy Turbo Diesel! This is the long wheelbase luxury model with leather and the upgraded front end. Interior: black leather; no rips or tears on seats or headliner; very clean throughout. Both front seat and all window switches working well. Door-lock and sunroof systems working, as does the heater blower, and the A/C blows Ice Cold! The only interior flaw is a small crack on the dash located at the left speaker. Otherwise, gorgeous throughout. Exterior: beautiful deep, dark gray; original color. I just put a new set of tires on and brakes are still 90% front and rear. Engine runs excellent; lots of pick-up power and averaging about 23.5 mpg with over 27 mpg highway. Absolutely no oil leaks. Common oil leaks have all been fixed, such as: oil-filter housing gasket, oil-return turbo seals, valve cover gasket, etc. Vehicle has been fully serviced including new brakes and Bilstein gas shock absorbers. Transmission: Vehicle has a newly rebuilt (NOT USED) transmission with only 17,000 miles on it, new turbo. Shifts beautifully. This car was previously owned by a European garage owner in San Francisco, it is a gem! Mercedes had so many of these cars running with high miles, they started the High Mileage Award Program. Free of charge, you can apply through your Mercedes dealer for the awards. A total of five high-mileage awards are offered, at 250,000km (155,000 miles), 500,000km (310,600 miles), 750,000km (466,000 miles), 1,000,000km (621,300 miles), and 1,000,000 miles (1,609,300 km). Also, Mercedes offers Roadside Assistance on any Mercedes, no matter the year or the miles, just call I 800-FOR-MERC. Great for the elderly or for a young teen! I have personally seen one of these cars that had been rolled, hit front & rear, and totally looked destroyed. All four doors would still open and close, and the passenger compartment was little damaged! These are excellent cars for new drivers.
