The 1979 Firebird was the last of the second generation Pontiac that has the new grille-less look. A urethane front nose panel encased twin rectangular headlamps gave the 79 Firebird a real unique look. 1979 was the 10th anniversary of the Firebird and that has helped them to hold value to this day.
