1999 CHEVROLET CORVETTE, Rare hardtop (precursor to Z06), 6 speed, B&B PRT SS exhaust system (12 HP increase), K&N Air Induction System (18 HP increase), Factory Bose sound system, Excellent fuel mileage, Well maintained, Looks & runs great, Low mileage. Exhaust system sells for $1,049.99 & K&N Air Induction sells for $399.99 in Eckler's Fall/Winter 2007 catalog. I don't race the car but this car is faster than the standard Corvette coupe. Besides the 30 HP gained from the exhaust and intake mods, this model (hardtop) is lighter than the coupe. I have two '99's. The other one is a convertible. Even though both cars have 6 spds and the B&B exhaust, the personalities are completely different. I love the convertible but this hardtop is special. It has that "race car" feel about it. It's hard to explain but anyone who's owned both should know what I'm talking about. UPDATE: New tires and front brakes 7/01/2008. This takes care of the biggest expense facing someone who buys a used Corvette and has to purchase tires, roughly a $2,000 expense. I'm in no hurry to sell as I've started driving the car every day since gas prices has soared (it uses half the fuel my Expedition uses).
