1974 PORSCHE CARRERA, 1974 Porsche Carrera. A non-sunroof Chrome Yellow exterior with black interior Porsche with the following modifications:1980 3.0 L engine with a 3.2 crank, 3.2 L J&E pistons,993 Sport camshafts, 3.2 L DME conversion with a mass air flow kit (Autothority) special programming. B&B stainless headers with S&S dual-in dual-out muffler. 1986 915 rebuilt transmission with LSD and Centerforce clutch assembly. 1988 911 Carrera rear suspension with 26mm Turbo torsion bars, Carrera trailing arms, new axles and Bilstein sport shocks. 1988 930 Turbo front suspension with 21mm torsion bars, 930 Turbo tie rods, Delrin bushings and new ball joints. Front brakes are 964 four piston calipers with a 23mm master cylinder. Rear has Carrera calipers. A 1988 Carrera fuel tank, fuel pump and filter have been installed. Wheels are 930 Fuchs 16o alloys, 7o front and 8o rear with new Dunlop SP8000 tires. The sport interior features restored gauges with a 10K tachometer, 930 leather seats, RSR door panels, rear seat delete, powder coated, bolt in rear roll bar with 3o 5 point cam lock belts. Stereo system is a Sony CD deck with a Fosgate amplifier, 6 speakers including 2 8o woofers in the rear seat area. We estimate this engine at approx. 290 HP with a weight of approx. 2400lbs. which gives a power to weight ratio of 8.3lbs / HP. A 2004 Porsche GT3 with 381 HP and a weight of approx 3200lbs has a ratio of 8.4lbs / HP. This is truly a very quick and great handling Carrera.
