1969 CHEVROLET IMPALA, This ?69 Impala may just be one of THE most, rare Impala's ever built! The original buyer had decided on an SS 427 Impala and while in the process of placing the order was talked out of the 427 option by his son. Seems the buyer was 70 years of age and his son was concerned that the car might be- too much. They compromised, and the car was ordered with a 396 cubic inch lump and 4-speed manual gearbox. The car is absolutely original! The Garnet red paint is original and has never been touched. The interior is original to the car as well and is in perfect condition. It is also a matching numbers car. The car was ordered with soft-ray tinted glass, bucket front seats, vinyl roof cover, F40 special front and rear suspension, dual exhaust, electric clock, rally wheels and radio delete options. Substantial documentation is included. Magazine articles, original window sticker, build sheet, etc, etc. The original intake manifold and carburetor and other spare parts come with the car. The engine has been professionally rebuilt and has about 50 miles since completion. Even the clock works!!!!! Since there were no 1969 SS 396 Impala's ever built, this car just maybe the only 1969 396 4-Speed Impala ever produced. Well let's put it this way- we have never heard of another- have you?
