1937 CORD SPORTSMAN, You are looking at a 1970 Samco Cord Royal replica of the famous 1936 and 1937 Coffin Nose Cord Sportsman. Samco made 2 different versions, one with at 302 Ford engine and the Royal model powered by the powerful 440 Chrysler engine and Chrysler automatic transmission. This particular car has been modified from most Samco models by attempting to make it look more like the original cord with the flip out headlights and an opening trunk. She runs good and has new dual exhaust. She needs someone to complete the restoration. As far as I can tell, just about everything is there to put her back together. There may be a little something missing, but it will be a very little. I have heard that there are still a lot of parts available in Oklahoma where the cars were built. I am told that a Samco recently sold for $60,000 on ebay, This car needs some restoration but will be nice and ready to go for a lot less than $60,000. Give me a call and let's talk. I feel that my price of $10,000.00 is very fair for a collector car like this one with the potential that this car has.
