1971 PLYMOUTH SEBRING, For sale is my 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus. I have owned this car since 1991.The car has been garaged or stored as long as I have had the car until I recently moved and that is part of the reason it's for sale. The body is straight and in good shape for it's age. I would give the body an 8 on a scale of 1-10. The good. The car hasn't been driven much since I have owned it as the tires on it are 1993 GT pluses. Because the front drums are discontinued and are a pain to locate, the front brakes were converted to power disc. Someone had put a b&m star shifter in the car and after a long search I found the complete linkage and console and reinstalled the slap shifter. I rebuilt the front end completely in 1993(All moog parts)Classic Centerline rims have been on it since I have owned the car.The Torque Flite 727 doesn't have but a few thousand miles since the rebuild. This car has a built 440 with high rise manifold, new holley 750,enhanced spark, and not even a thousand miles on the rebuilt engine(there is bad news) The bad news. If you're a mechanic, you can easily verify this. Despite the recent engine rebuild something let go in the engine. I would doubt it's super serious as how much damage could be done while it's idling. While I was out of town my wife was warming it up in the garage last winter and something let go. She heard it from inside the house and ran out and shut it down. I know just about enough to be dangerous so despite my speculation, I'll let a mechanic tell me what happened. The paint is faded as it's the original finish. The car is about 98% rust free. You will only find a few spots on this car. It has a few scratches however nothing serious. I can't think of anything else thats bad and needs to be spoken about. The interior isn't trashed, it just needs to be restored. This car is in very good shape for it's age and anyone who comes to see it will no doubt see the love(and money) that has went into it. I have seen these cars go from 1500 to 3000 just for a rolling chassis! This is a complete car. I hate to let her go however, I don't have the time or the room for her anymore. This would make a great Sebring Plus resto or a Roadrunner/GTX clone. I don't "have to" sell her, I just think it maybe time. If interested, call 970-481-1959
