2000 HONDA S2000, Silverstone metallic paint with black/red interior. Best one in the country! First model year (and best), purchased brand new in July of 2000. #7631. One of the first with the improved second generation transmission. Only 14,500 miles. Never in the rain, never outside overnight. Always covered in the garage. Adult owned (57 years old). Carefully broken in. Never drag raced. Oil has been changed 20 times with premium Wix oil filters ($13 each). All fluids changed on a regular basis. Still has the original battery! Brand new OEM Bridgestone Potenza tires. 100% stock. 6 speed. 2.0 liter DOHC, 240 horsepower, 9000 RPM redline. Variable valve timing. I average 27 miles to the gallon. Ten years after it was designed, this engine still has the highest specific output of any normally aspirated engine ever sold, and the highest redline. Incredibly, it has higher piston speeds, at redline, than Formula 1 2.4 liter V-8's, which redline at 19,000 rpm. It is still the most incredible production engine ever designed. These first generation cars were not built on an assembly line but were built at work stations (like Ferraris) at the Tochigi plant alongside Accura NSX sports cars. Features include an aluminum hood, leather seats, cruise control, CD player, power windows, mirrors, locks, and top. Remote keyless entry. Never a service issue. Why buy the new slower/softer one with the heavy wheels and lower redline? You still can't buy a better handling roadster at any price. Wonderfully quick, stable steering, no body roll, totally predictable handling. And very fast. Why is it for sale? I've looked for something better for 8 years. I drive everything that's available. I finally found something I like better. It feels like an S2000 with 600 horsepower! I have a 2009 Viper convertible on order. Car is located in St. Louis.
