1949 PACKARD STANDARD 8, In 1949 Packard introduced the fold down rear seat which made it quick and easy to turn their station wagon from a passenger car into a functional utility vehicle. This beautiful 1949 Packard Station Sedan Woodie has undergone a thorough nut and bolt restoration. Powered by the famous Packard Straight Eight producing 135 horsepower and equipped with a three-speed manual transmission. The ride is exceptionally smooth and comfortable for both driver and passenger's alike. The leather upholstery has been completely redone, the paint, stainless and chrome are flawless as is the attention to detail given to the engine compartment. The Northern birch framing and maple panels have a beautiful finish and really compliment the "Art Deco" "Country Club" look of this stunning automobile. Only 3,864 Packard Station Sedans were built between 1948 thru 1950 making this "woodie" a very collectable piece of Packard Motor Car Company history.
