1941 CHEVROLET SPECIAL DELUXE, Chevrolet introduced new convertibles for 1941. The Master Deluxe and Special Deluxe were new cars designed by Harley Earls Art and Color section. They were fabulously good looking, substantially bigger and more impressive than before. The car certainly resembled the more costly Buick. The wheelbase had been stretched and the car wider than its predecessor. The engine was heavily revised. A redesigned cylinder head with slightly higher compression raised horsepower to about 90. New pistons were fitted as well; valves, rocker arms and water pump were also reworked. The engine was referred to as the "Victory Six". This car: This wonderfully restored '41 Special Deluxe runs and drives as well as it looks. The vacume operated top functions well. The paint, glass, chrome, rubber and seals are all in wonderful condition. The chassis is also as clean and the rest of the car, no signs of rust, corrosion or damage; ever. Nothing leaks on this car; the engine, transmission and differential are all dry. Production of these wonderful cars was obviously limited due to WWII. Finding one is rare, finding one this well restored even more so. One could not find and restore a '41 Chevrolet convertible for this kind of money. The car is bone stock, no modifications or alterations have been performed; the car is as it left the factory. This car was a national show winner and is ready for both show and/or touring.
