1964 CHRYSLER NEWPORT, THE CAR IS EQUIPPED AS FOLLOWS: 361 Cubic Inch GOLDEN LION V8 In-Dash Factory A/C (Cold) Torque Flite Pushbutton Automatic Transmission Padded Dash Power Steering Brand New Brakes Remote Control Mirror Optional Visor Mirror Factory AM Transistor Radio Interior Light Group Original Paint Original Upholstery Floor Mats Front & Rear Trumpet Horns Five New Correct White Wall Tires slight discoloration to the front right. Mechanically, this big Chrysler is 100%. The massive 361 Golden Lion V8 starts right up every time. It's smooth and 'sewing-machine' quiet. At 25 MPH or 75 MPH you feel like you 'own' the road. Chrysler's exclusive 'Torque-Flite' pushbutton automatic transmission shifts beautifully, the in-dash factory Air Conditioning blows cold and the Factory AM transistor radio plays beautifully. The windows glide up and down just like they were new. The power steering option lets you turn the wheel with one finger. The radiator on this Chrysler has been re-cored, all belts and hoses have been replaced, the brakes re-done all around and the exhaust system replaced. All switches and lights (turn signals, brake and parking lights, etc.) work correctly, even the emergency brake light. The emergency brake itself works just as it should, including the release button. The tires on this 1964 Chrysler (all five of them) are brand new correct Coker Silvertown bias ply with the correct white wall width. They have fewer than 800 miles on them. The trunk compartment is like new, with original cardboard and the original jacking instructions. Now look under the hood. It hasn't been restored here, either. It's just a clean original engine compartment. You could paint the valve covers for show, or leave them just as they are. The extremely low actual miles on this car are documented. The car is on an actual miles title. In addition, the car comes with an original 1964 Chrysler Owner's Manual, original Chrysler Seat Belt Instructions and two sets of keys. Classic Insurance : $160/yr. Shown by appointment only.
