1971 CHEVROLET CAMARO, This is a 1971 RS SS Chevy Camaro with a 396 in it. I dont know how to tell if this was a true big block or not. I was told by the guy that restored it that it was a real SS 396 Car. It has the RS appearance but not a real RS car. It has a 10 bolt posi, Power Front Disc, tilt wheel, AC(gone now), driver side remote mirror( I read some where that was a SS Option), factory console on floor, PS, Front and Rear Spoiler. As far as I can tell is this car has all the original metal, trunk and floors. It has a very clean underside and trunk area. This car was all repainted about 4 months ago by the previous owner. I know there are not very many miles on the motor and it has a ton of power and sounds awesome. It has headers with a 3 inch exhaust to the Flow master mufflers and than 2 1/2 to the back. The interior is in great shape including headliner, carpet seats, dash, door panels etc. The car also has the cowl induction hood which we feel makes these car look much better than the stock hood. It also has a set of 20 inch American Racing Torque Thrust on the rear and 17 Inch on the front. They are also brand new, with new rubber...Having the 20's on the rear gives this car an amazing stance...As you can see the paint looks super nice on this car...I am pretty picking on my paint jobs. I would say it would be a good 8.5 to a 9 in my book. I only say that because this car has had a lot to detail when it was painted. You can see how nice the inner fender wells are in the engine bay and how nice the firewall is. You can also notice how nice the fenders that wrap in the engine bay are, rockers, door jambs etc...I dont know if the color is tourch red or viper red but it is a very bright red that looks great against black stripes. The paint is super shinny and looks to have been wet sanded properly because it has nice depth to the paint. The rear bumper is new, and the door locks have also been replaced, and work well. The only few things I would say this car needs are the following...When the car was restored the cowl tag was removed and not located to be put back on, and when you hit certain wavy bumps in the road the front tires rub a little...I cant think of anything else the car needs...everything else has been done...There has been a lot of money put into this car in the restoration. It has a ton of new parts and the drivetrain is built up very nicely. This car would make anyone a great investment, show car and just a fun toy to have around. You are welcome to view the car with an appointment if interested. Please feel free to email, or call us with any questions or if you need more pictures.
